Ulta Beauty Business Problem Solving

During the summer term of my internship with Ulta Beauty, the other interns and myself were broken up into groups and assigned different business problems to solve. By the end of our internships, we were to present our solutions in a 20 minute long presentation before the other interns, full-time Ulta employees, managers, and members of the executive board. This project was a great learning experience, as all of the group members were from different departments, giving each person unique talents and insights into how to make a great company even better. In our pursuit to figure out how to drive in-store sales in an increasingly online market, I was placed in charge of helping develop ideas and then visualize them through flyers, banners, social media posts, and app notifications. We proposed product-based activities, rewards improvements, and promotions for a cause based on financial and consumer insights.
